Linezolid is a synthetic oxazolidinone antimicrobial drug. It is indicated for gram-positive infections specially MRSA. Also approved for the treatment of: bacterial pneumonia, skin and skin structure infections, Bone and joint infection, vancomycin-resistant enterococcal (VRE) infections, including infections complicated by bacteremia.
